Candice Stansbury
Candice is a registered private practicing dietitian. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from the Nelson Mandela University (Cum Laude) and is currently studying towards her Masters in Therapeutic Nutrition via Stellenbosch University. Her career started at Midland Hospital – Graaff-Reinet, during her community service year. Thereafter going into private practice as well as become an assistant lecturer in the Dietetics Department at the Nelson Mandela University.
She has a passion for people and nutrition, and has a special interest in eating disorders, sports nutrition, nutrigenomics, gut health and mental health. She is also a certified Optifast and DNALysis (DNA testing) healthcare provider. She is someone who believes in evidenced based nutrition and aims to provide the best nutritional services that are in-line with the most up-to-date research. She is an “anti-diet” dietitian and believes that being happy and healthy can be achieved without dieting but rather by developing a healthy relationship with food and living a balanced, enjoyable lifestyle.
